Kerio may be the best bet but IIRC it's not supported either- but with all the people who still use kerio I would suspect you'll find answers to any issues you may have. I think you could still use an older version of ZA, there's a fair number of people that use ZA 6. So, same with kerio, I think you can find answers to issues you may have in forums like here.
Today I read somewhere that Symantec had purchased Sygate. In the Spychecker list, Mil Firewall looks like a winner, and I am in the middle of studying its details on its website.

Sunbelt added few things which you don't have to use web watch, behavior, IDS rules. They also added a simple setup like in ZA overall application permissions. But the Kerio style of packet rules is identical to the old Kerio - one screen of rules, plus they added few nice things such as IP groups so you can have several instead of just one Custom addresses group.

Outpost Security Suite seems to be compatible with Win2k but the free edition cannot be installed on Win2k Server. If you know about any other decent free firewalls for Win2k, please share the information. Thank you. Although Avira seems to perform a different Windows edition check and still refuses to install, I managed to run Avast 6. You already mentioned Outpost free.. Avast can't be updated in Windows Server anymore. You can still install it using the method mentioned in 2 but there'll be a warning that it's not supported on a Server when trying to update.
I managed to find a different AV. I installed it here and no problems so far. I didn't notice that I already mentioned this one in the first post Still it seems that they fixed those problems related to instability as it seems to work unproblematically now.
The newest version of Avast 7. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy!
